It was December 2019 and after 16 years of being apart, life finally allowed us to face each other again, now adults and finally free to meet again.
She had had a lifetime of self-improvement, of not giving up 💪 and working hard day and night and facing obstacles always with a smile on her face.
He had tried again and again in the entrepreneurial world, collecting failures in the form of lessons but keeping his fighting spirit intact 🔥.
As soon as they saw each other they knew that time had never passed in their hearts and on the contrary, it was stronger than ever 💞. So he decided to go to the other side of the world for her. That deal brought us to Winchester! with the promise of being a couple of weeks, ask for her hand and then return to our beloved Mexico 🇲🇽.
The story is well known in today's world, COVID came to stay, and with it our dreams of going home seemed more distant. But we were together 🙌, and that had been the dream for many years, so we focused and spent that time getting to know each other, connecting and enjoying that we were together, it was really that love that drove us to give a little more of ourselves and work hard. For a common dream, Mi Cocina was the result of hours and hours of blood, sweat and tears... literally our first baby.
As we had been trapped in Bridge Street House taking care of the hotel for the key workers, the kitchen of the restaurant was basically our kitchen to eat from day to day, an event of those that seemed lucky but are signs that impelled us to start the adventure , where we combine our culinary knowledge, grandmother's recipes, social networks and a lot of love to give you all a good time through our food.
Thanks to the support of all our friends, the concept has been a success! It is love, as a creative force that makes everything possible, it is the confidence and certainty in the promise that in the end, everything will be fine ... and if things are not well, then it is simply not the end 😉.
